This symposium, initiated in 2010, has taken place every second year since and brings together early-career and established researchers from all over the world who are interested in microtubule biology and its impact on human health and disease.

The microtubule cytoskeleton is essential for a wide variety of cellular functions, such as chromosome segregation, directed vesicle and organelle transport, cell motility, and cell polarity. Impaired microtubule function can lead to human diseases including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, where microtubules serve as important therapeutic targets.

We would like to invite you to participate at the 3rd MOSBRI conference, which will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from June 10鈥�13, 2024. MOSBRI (Molecular-scale Biophysics Research Infrastructure) is a consortium of 13 academic centers of excellence and 2 industrial partners from 11 different European countries, coordinated by Institut Pasteur and funded by the Horizon 2020 program.

The 3rd MOSBRI conference follows in the footsteps of the first two MOSBRI conferences, Paris 2022 and Zaragoza 2023, both of which attracted almost 200 participants from across Europe. The 3rd MOSBRI conference will continue to provide a carefully curated overview of the latest advances in biophysics, bringing together the new generation of young European biophysicists with established experts in the field. • Macromolecular interactions, kinetics and dynamics,
• Emerging approaches in biophysics (coorganized by Association of Resources for Biophysical Research in Europe),
• Computational biophysics and AI applications,
• Integrative structural biology (organized by Instruct-ERIC),
• Macromolecular design, stability and quality control, and
• Molecular bioimaging (organized by the Slovenian Biophysical Society).

With this diversity of topics, the conference continues to strengthen the connection within a wider community of researchers in structural biology, biochemistry, synthetic biology and biophysics by building bridges between different disciplines and engaging the audience in a multidisciplinary dialog.

Lectures will include plenary talks by

• Lynne J. Regan (University of Edinburgh, UK),
• Harald Schwalbe (Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Germany; Instruct ERIC) and
• Andrej 艩ali (University of California at San Francisco, USA),

as well as 18 presentations by invited renowned experts from 12 countries worldwide, including members of the MOSBRI scientific advisory board from 6 MOSBRI centers.

As at the two previous MOSBRI conferences, beneficiaries of MOSBRI transnational access (TNA) will give presentations on their work, which has been facilitated by access to the MOSBRI infrastructure. To ensure that the audience is informed about the latest advances in the innovative tools available, several presentations will be given by company representatives. To promote the visibility of young researchers, about 20 short presentations will also be selected from the abstracts of early bird registrants.

Registration for the conference is now officially open. Please note that we will grant bursaries to 15 PhD students. The bursaries include 3 nights accommodation and waiver of the registration fee. Apply by March 31st, 2024 and upload a single pdf file containing a short CV, a letter of motivation and a letter of support (max. 1 page for each).

Since 2010, this important conference continues to focus on the field of genome and epigenome editing. The meeting will focus on new tools and technologies, understanding the biology of editors and their outcomes, new classes of precise editors, plant and animal modeling with precise genome editing, and clinical trials of genome editors.

The conference seeks to present the latest research findings in these fields and support early-career investigators, women, and other historically-excluded groups in the field of genome editing. Through collaboration and networking at this meeting, it can accelerate the translation of fundamental advances into viable genome editing technologies. We encourage scientists from all countries and institutions with shared interests in genome and epigenome editing to join FASEB and our volunteer organizers in Rome, Italy, for stimulating presentations, discussions, and activities.

The symposium will promote the exchange of conceptual ideas in this rapidly evolving field, and also foster cross-disciplinary collaborations among the scientists.

Innate immunity is studied by both microbiologists and immunologists; however, their perspectives differ widely. Microbiologists are necessarily specialists for their pathogen(s) of choice, while immunologists tend to focus on the host response. The goal of the conference is to bring together immunologists, microbiologists and cell biologists, who, from their specific points of view, will discuss recent progress in their understanding of host-pathogen interactions.
